As said before, in celebration of 20 years MARC LAGRANGE , his upcoming XXML expo and a limited edition t-shirt collection in collaboration with Belgian brand ESSENTIEL I ended up doing this very appropriate POLAROID collaboration.

My happiest moment of the day was when Marc showed me his POLAROID BIG SHOT camera, the same camera ANDY WARHOL used to shoot his famous portraits with and suggested that we should take a portrait of me. I need that bad boy camera.

Yes that’s me with my ‘stay focused’ face.

A few weeks ago I was invited to provide some tunes at the SALVATORE FERRAGAMO party in Brussels.

I’m not a professional DJ, but I know a thing or two about music. I used to spin some records in the bar in Ostend I used to work when the boss was once again late for his saturday night set, or help another bar out from time to time when they need a last-minute DJ.

I get these type of requests once in a while and I always decline, but for once I decided that  I would accept the invitation.

The party was véry elegant, posh, classy and slightly serious, so at first I wasn’t really keen on playing what I wanted, plus the DJ that accompanied  and also invited me,  DJ DARKO, has a completely different style than mine, and I was a bit intimidated because I didn’t have that much matching music.

Plus, I felt like a fool without a decent Traktor program, and felt like a legit amateur DJ-ing with….Itunes. #blasphemy.

But at the end of the night, I let it all go and my final 15 minutes turned out in a full hour dance floor take-over with the remaining guests shaking their tail feather like there was no tomorrow.

I even got a big smile and a handshake from an Italian Salvatore Ferragamo boss lady who told me after she saw all the madness I created: “Congratulaaaatiooons, well done, well done.”

One of the other highlights of the night is that I was put in a black leather PAULE KA dress that I always dreamed of finding.

Not too long ago I went for a quick visit to Amsterdam to support the official launch of not one but two books.

BARE ESSENTIELS by Dennis De Groot , a book with a compilation of illustrations from  icons in pop culture reduced to their barest essentials in shape & colour.

MOBILE SNAPSHOTS: FROM BLOGGER TO BRAND by Nalden, a booklet with mobile snapshots portraying his rise from rags & bedroom blogging to riches & SLS test rides.

My homie from Paris,  KARL HAB put me on this fresh brand from the city of lights called BROOKLYN WE GO HARD.

Really liked the gear, the vibe and the campagne shots.

I realise this is mens wear, but I would wear that curry sweater in a heartbeat!

Might have something to do with me slowly being back in the fashion game but my Material Girl modus is back on track.

If I could transport this ‘little’ monkey from Antwerp to my hometown Ostend?

I have no car, so I had to drag the monkey with me via public transport.

This is result of that journey.

While waiting for the bus….

…it turned out the monkey wasn’t very social

So I decided to try and connect with the monkey. Apparantely his name was OTIS.

When we arrived at the station, ofcourse there was a massive delay. We had to wait it  out.

Then finally, the train arrived and we could start our journey home.

Ofcourse, there was another problem on the Belgian railway network (what’s new) and we had to transfer to another station.

When we watched the timetable, we knew we were fucked. OTIS wasn’t very happy.

I decided to calm him down with some candy.

While dragging OTIS around  he suddenly lost his arm. I was in a small panic but luckily there was an ambulance to fix him up.

Since the train was not going to work, we had to wait for a ride home.

Turned out OTIS was very popular with the girls

and the baby girls.

And then finally we arrived home…

The next morning it was time to bring OTIS to his new home.

We went for a last walk in the park.

OTIS really loved it there.

So it was really hard to let him go.
